Here are some questions that you may have, and their answers…

TIVOLE is not a company, it is a product that is offered by Matrix Sound LLC. All estimates and invoices pertaining to TIVOLE are issued from Matrix Sound LLC. Matrix Sound LLC is based near Chicago, Illinois and is owned and managed by Trevor Peters who has been a business owner, sound designer, sound engineer and industry professional for the past 35 years. Click on the Convergence link at the bottom of the page to learn more about the originator of TIVOLE.

Similar to the technology it utilises, TIVOLE is a new event concept and was created in March of 2023. All system elements have undergone extensive live testing to ensure seamless functionality. TIVOLE uses industry standard audio equipment, the processing is software based and the control rack is deployed with system redundancy to ensure reliability and worry free events.

In order for TIVOLE to be a truly enjoyable event or a meaningful team building exercise, a certain amount of customization has to occur in the pre-production phase. TIVOLE is tailored to its audience not only in size, but also in the musical content choice and scripting. In an initial meeting (in-person or online), your preferences and needs will be documented and any questions that you may have will be addressed. Once the parameters of the event have been established, a detailed estimate of the costs will be delivered within 72Hrs.

Matrix Sound LLC is a small startup built on the back of 35 years of industry experience. That is more than enough time to learn the practical lessons of optimization and efficiency in delivering value. The TIVOLE control system is housed in a small flight case, this together with two laptops comprises the Control Rack. A Control Rack accompanied by a Program Director can be dispatched to any city in the USA by car or by plane. All other equipment (and personnel) required is provided by a local technical service provider, pre-approved and a part of the Matrix Sound LLC contacts network.

As the brain of TIVOLE travels self contained in the Control Rack, the set-up time is primarily dictated by the size of the sound system required. An intimate event or small team building exercise for twenty attendees could be set up by two people in under one hour. A venue catering for 300 people would take a team of four a morning to set up. It’s worth noting that as the size of the event grows, so do the technical requirements, sometimes exponentially. An event catering for 3000 people will require flown audio systems necessitating rigging, a specialized crew, and technical drawings to comply with venue health and safety requirements. This size event would take around two days to set up.

The Control Rack is where all of the magic happens. In the pre-production process the dimensions of the venue are loaded into the software together with speaker placement criteria and the relevant calculations are done by the program. While more sound equipment will be required for a larger audience in a bigger venue, simply updating the program data enables the software to make the necessary processing adjustments to ensure that every audience receives the same immersive audio experience.
